The duration of Eid Al Adha prayer in the UAE will be limited to 15 minutes, including the Khutbah (sermon).

Mosques and musallahs (open-air spaces) will be allowed to host the prayers in compliance with COVID-19 precautionary measures.

According to the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), the prayer venues will open 15 minutes before the prayer and close immediately after its completion.

Worshippers must avoid handshakes and other forms of greetings before and after the prayer.

Authorities have also advised elderly people, those with chronic diseases and children under the age of 12 to pray at home as a precautionary measure.
