UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has directed all mosques across the country to perform rain prayers on Friday October 17.
The prayer, known in Arabic as Salaat Al Istisqaa, will be held half an hour before the usual Friday prayers.
Sheikh Mohamed asked the public to pray to Allah to bless the nation with rain and mercy.
