Teenager falls to death in Dubai while taking selfie

Dubai Police have issued a warning after a teenager died while trying to take a selfie from the balcony of her apartment.

The 16-year-old girl fell from the 17th floor of a building on Sheikh Zayed Road on Saturday.

Officials say she lost her balance while standing on a chair to click the picture.

Colonel Faisal Al Qasim, Head of Media Department at Dubai Police, says it's an unusual case.
