Reports of gangs targeting elderly are false: Sharjah Police

Sharjah Police have dismissed social media reports about gangs defrauding elderly people in Al Dhaid area as fake. 

They confirmed no formal complaints have been registered in any of the police stations so far. 

Authorities have also warned that those caught spreading rumours on social media will face imprisonment and up to AED 1 million in fine.
