Fireworks shows will be held across 29 locations in Dubai to limit overcrowding and ensuring public health and safety.
Making the announcement, Dubai's Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management also reminded New Year's revellers to wear masks at all times, with Dubai Police reiterating that violators will face a AED 3,000 fine.
