Dubai's toll operator Salik posted its highest quarterly toll-usage revenue since the gates were first introduced in 2007, bringing in AED 454 million for the first three months of 2023.

Salik says revenue increased by 8 per cent, with the total number of trips reaching 113.6 million.

The company says the number of vehicles passing through the toll gates has surpassed pre-pandemic levels as Dubai returns to full economic and tourist activity.

The toll fees contributed 87 per cent to the company's total revenue.
