Abu Dhabi Media Office

The UAE has ranked first in the region for testing and monitoring COVID-19 virus levels in municipal wastewater.

According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, it has also ranked among the top five countries in the world for carrying out the early detection method, which has proven to be reliable.

A team from Khalifa University in the capital has been carrying out the experiments by cooperating with relevant entities.

Scientists involved in the research have explained that the new method will allow the UAE government to geographically locate areas affected by COVID-19.
