Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has affirmed the UAE's keenness to deepen its partnership with Ecuador during a meeting with the country's President Daniel Noboa in New York.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81), national news agency Wam reported.
Both sides looked at boosting cooperation in key sectors, specifically in the economic, trade, investment, and development fields, within the framework of their Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements.
Discussions also addressed the agenda of the UN General Assembly.
Sheikh Abdullah also held talks with José Manuel Restrepo, Vice President of Colombia, during which he discussed ways to explore new opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation across key sectors.
He also held separate meetings with the foreign ministers of Poland, Hungary, Russia, Suriname, the Dominican Republic, Austria, Paraguay, and Zimbabwe.
The top UAE diplomat further looked into ways to consolidate security and peace regionally and internationally with Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission.
