More than 10 million meals will be prepared for people in Gaza as part of a major humanitarian initiative honouring the legacy of the late Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who passed away earlier this week.
The Ahmed bin Rashid Humanitarian Bridge will take place on September 26 at Dubai World Trade Centre.
The event is being organised by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) in partnership with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.
Thousands of volunteers and community members are expected to participate in preparing food aid for families and children in Gaza.
Mohammad Al Gergawi, Secretary-General of MBRGI, said the initiative honours Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid's legacy of compassion, humility and support for those in need.
Organisers say the event will demonstrate the spirit of community participation and reinforce the UAE's longstanding commitment to humanitarian action and support for vulnerable communities.
