UAE authorities confirm weather conditions now stable in region

WAM

UAE authorities have confirmed that the period of unstable weather in the region has now finished with conditions expected to return to normal.

This decision comes following a meeting of the Joint Assessment Team for Weather and Tropical Conditions involving the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior (MoI), the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

During the meeting, the weather report issued by the NCM was reviewed, which confirmed the end of the weather event in various regions of the country and the stabilisation of weather conditions after several days of intense rainfall and flooding.

The Assessment Team recognised the efforts of the MoIand and concerned authorities during the weather event, and the level of readiness and response, in addition to stressing the importance of continuing to monitor weather conditions and obtaining information from official sources.
