Abu Dhabi contain three fires caused by missile debris, six injured

WAM

The Abu Dhabi authorities have contained three fires that broke out in the vicinity of the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) on Saturday as a result of falling missile debris.

United Arab Emirates air defences successfully intercepted a ballistic missile that fell in the KEZAD area - the largest trade, logistics, and industrial zone in the emirate.

Initially just two fires, authorities revealed later the outbreak of a third fire to contain, with a cooling process of all of them now underway.

The authorities confirmed that the incident resulted in six injuries, with five of those individuals of Indian nationality and another of Pakistani nationality, with the injuries ranging from moderate to minor.

The authorities also urged and reminded the public to obtain information from official sources only, and to avoid circulating rumors or unverified information.
