UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to discuss the security situation in the region, its repercussions on global security and peace, as well as its serious effects on the global economy.

Sheikh Mohamed expressed his appreciation for Zelenskyy's visit to the UAE, embodying the strength of the relations that unite the two countries.

He stressed that it will continue to defend its sovereignty with all strength and steadfastness in the face of terrorist attacks, and that the country is fully prepared to confront all threats and reserves its full right to self-defense as guaranteed by international law.

Zelenskyy also discussed opportunities for developing the UAE and Ukraine's relationship within the framework of the comprehensive economic partnership between the two countries.

In this context, Sheikh Mohamed reiterated the UAE’s support for all efforts and initiatives aimed at achieving sustainable peace in Ukraine.
