Stranded tourist airlifted from Ras Al Khaimah mountain

A tourist stranded atop Ras Al Khaimah's Ghaleila mountain has been airlifted to safety.

The air wing team of Ras Al Khaimah Police were alerted about the tourist who got lost while exploring the region on Saturday morning.

She was found in Wadi Ghalilah and given first-aid.

Authorities have urged hikers to take a guide while heading out and to always stick to the marked trails.
