UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has approved a unified healthcare system that guarantees easy access to high-quality medical services for all citizens.

The system includes a fully integrated national health insurance scheme covering all emirates of the country.

It aims to develop a federal and local model that enhances the sustainability of health services, ensures the optimal utilisation of resources, and elevates sector readiness in line with global standards and practices.

The new system will be supported by advanced infrastructure, interconnected digital health platforms, and sustained investment across the UAE.

Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention, said that the directives of the president "reflect a national vision that places human health and quality of life at the heart of the UAE's development priorities".

He noted that the model "represents a strategic step towards establishing a more efficient, agile, and forward-looking national healthcare model".
