Dubai's leadership model goes global with university partnerships

Dubai has signed a series of landmark agreements with top global universities to advance leadership development and research.

The memoranda of understanding were signed between the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development (MBRCLD) and institutions including Georgetown University, IESE Business School, IMD Business School, INSEAD and HEC Paris.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, witnessed the signing.

The agreements aim to launch an advanced leadership programme and the 'Dubai Leadership Research' initiative, inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The research will be integrated into MBA and executive education programmes at the partner universities and featured in platforms like The Case Centre and Harvard Business Review, reaching students and professionals.

The MoUs were signed last week during the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum, which brought together 1,000 senior leaders from across Dubai’s government and private sector.

"This initiative marks a significant step in showcasing Dubai’s developmental and cultural success story, while presenting the governance and leadership philosophy of HH Sheikh Mohammed as a practical framework to emulate," said Mohammad Al Gergawi, Chairman of The Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Chairman of MBRCLD.

"It will also enhance the academic experience for students through research and case studies that inspire future leaders and empower them to create positive, sustainable impact," he added.
