Dubai authorities confirm drone incident involving oil tanker

Authorities in Dubai said on Tuesday they were responding to an incident involving a drone that affected a Kuwaiti oil tanker in the emirate’s waters.

Officials confirmed it took place at Anchorage “E”, with no injuries reported and the safety of all 24 crew secured.

Maritime firefighting teams were working to bring a fire under control and manage the situation in line with established safety procedures.

Authorities said further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
