UAE air forces respond to incoming missile, drone threats on Tuesday

The UAE's Ministry of Defence has announced that it is responding to incoming missile and drone threats from Iran on Tuesday, with the public advised to remain in a safe location.

Authorities have urged the public not to approach or handle debris, and say sounds heard are due to air defence interceptions.

An alert was shared at 11:21 a.m., with an all-clear later shared at 11:36 a.m. informing the community that operations can resume normally.

Dubai authorities also confirmed that the sounds heard across parts of the city were the result of successful air defence interception operations.

An alert was previously issued on Tuesday at 02:09 am, with the threat declared over by the Ministry of Interior at 02:21 am.
