UAE and Ireland boost cooperation in tourism and the new economy

WAM

The UAE and Ireland are set to deepen economic and tourism collaboration following high-level talks in Dubai between Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, and Ireland’s Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, Peter Burke.

The meeting focused on expanding partnerships in the new economy, accelerating future tourism projects, and strengthening public-private sector cooperation between the two countries.

Bin Touq described UAE-Ireland relations as firmly rooted in shared priorities, particularly in tourism, hospitality, and innovation-led economic sectors. He noted tourism remains a core driver of bilateral growth, supported by 32 weekly flights connecting both countries - a key factor enabling stronger trade, investment, and visitor flows.

Both ministers stressed the importance of continued engagement between business communities, saying that closer collaboration will unlock new joint initiatives and attract greater investment into emerging sectors.

The discussions also covered preparations for Investopia Global Dublin, taking place later this month in the Irish capital. The forum will gather entrepreneurs, experts, and policymakers to explore opportunities in fast-growing economic fields and further expand UAE-Ireland cooperation.
