Preparations have commenced to relocate GITEX GLOBAL and Expand North Star to its new home at Expo City Dubai next year.

The 2026 edition, branded as GITEX 5.0, will run from December 7 to 11, bringing together tech giants, startups investors, and policymakers on one massive, integrated platform.

The move aims to support Dubai’s D33 Economic Agenda and strengthen the city’s position among the world’s top three urban economies.

The relocation is directed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and guided by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai's Crown Prince and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister.

For the first time, GITEX will also introduce TechCation — a world-first concept that blends tech innovation with lifestyle, turning Dubai into a city-wide stage of live activations, staycation experiences, and cultural engagement for global visitors.

Set at the expanded Dubai Exhibition Centre, which is undergoing a $2.7 billion transformation, the event will showcase cutting-edge sectors including AI, quantum tech, biosciences and advanced manufacturing.

The show opens on December 7 with the new outcomes-focused GITEX Scale Summit for global leaders, a day dedicated to high-level strategic dialogue on the decisive trends, opportunities and policy frameworks influencing global AI economies.

From December 8-11 , the event will showcase the most frontier-pushing innovations, from AI and quantum technologies to biosciences and advanced manufacturing, to spark collaborations across future critical sectors.

The strategic shift to December also aligns GITEX with Dubai’s peak tourism season, offering international visitors a vibrant backdrop of cultural and lifestyle experiences.

With its global outlook and futuristic vision, GITEX 5.0 promises to be more than just a tech event — it’s a bold new platform for collaboration, innovation, and growth at the heart of one of the world’s most dynamic cities.
