Emirates to operate largest Starlink-enabled fleet

Emirates is set to roll out Starlink Wi-Fi across its entire in-service fleet, starting with Boeing 777 aircraft this month and completing the upgrade by mid-2027.

The complimentary, ultra-fast service will deliver ground-quality internet at cruising altitude, allowing passengers to stream, game, make calls, and browse seamlessly on both seatback screens and personal devices.

The first Starlink-equipped aircraft, a Boeing 777-300ER, is currently on display at the Dubai Airshow and will operate the airline’s first commercial flight with the service immediately after the event.

Emirates plans to retrofit around 14 aircraft per month, with Airbus A380 installations beginning in February 2026.

Each Boeing 777 will feature two Starlink antennae, while Airbus A380s will have three, ensuring high-speed connectivity across all cabin classes.

Live TV over Starlink will be available on personal devices from late December 2025, and later on seatback screens.

"Starlink is being installed in tandem with the most ambitious cabin refurbishment programme in aviation including brand new Premium Economy cabins, an enhanced Business Class, refreshed First Class, expanded and upgraded entertainment system technologies, and now, industry-leading connectivity," said Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline.

The Starlink Wi-Fi service on Emirates will be free for all customers, across all cabins on Starlink-equipped aircraft, with simple one-click access that requires no payment or special Skywards membership.
