Dubai International Airport (DXB) is gearing up to accommodate a surge in travellers over the next two weeks, marking one of the busiest travel periods of the year.

In an interview with Dubai Eye 103.8's Business Breakfast show on Thursday, DXB CEO Paul Griffiths said over 4.2 million guests are expected to pass through DXB over the next 14 days.

He added that travellers will be flying to and from countries like India, Saudi Arabia, UK, Pakistan and US.

With over 1,800 flight per day, Griffiths said DXB has ensured all procedures are in place for a hassle-free journey for the passengers.

He added that DXB has deployed AI to assist in the passenger journey so "people can get to their destination on time".

Griffiths also expressed optimism that the year will end on a "smooth" note, with DXB set to handle 95 million guests by the end of 2025, setting a new record as the world’s busiest international hub.
