The UAE is now at the top of a global chart for the daily number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered.

The science publication Our World in Data's latest figures show the rolling seven day average per 100 people in the total population is 1.27.

Israel is next with 1.21, closely followed by Chile and the UK, with 0.95 and 0.65 respectively.

The data count as a single dose, and may not equal the total number of people vaccinated depending on the specific dose regime.

More than five million doses of the vaccine have been administered so far in the UAE.
