WHO thanks UAE for providing humanitarian aid in Yemen

WAM

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has thanked the UAE for providing essential and lifesaving health services to those in-need in Yemen.

In a Tweet, the WHO also expressed gratitude to other partners and donors like Kuwait, Japan, Korea, the EU Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid and the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund (UNCERF).

Urging the donors to scale up their support, the WHO stressed that aid agencies still need AED 14.14 billion ($3.85 billion) more to strengthen Yemen’s healthcare system, avert massive famine and meet other critical needs to save lives.
