Under 70s now allowed in UAE commercial establishments

The age restriction in shopping centres, retail shops and sports facilities in the UAE has been adjusted.

Government spokesperson Dr. Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi announced at a press briefing that starting June 18, Thursday, people under the age of 70 and over the age of 12 may enter shopping centres, retail shops, supermarkets, restaurants and sports facilities. 

Previously, the age limit was 12 to 60 years old.

Meanwhile, Dubai has announced that it is lifting all age restrictions in shopping malls and other public locations, and also for sporting activities.
