Two new initiatives have been announced in the emirate of Umm Al Quwain to honour the UAE servicemen who died in the line of duty in Yemen. His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, has issued directives to name the residential area being built by the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme as 'Martyrs' City'. Sheikh Saud has also ordered the construction of a memorial facing the Emiri Diwan, and naming the surrounding area as 'Martyrs' Square'.
