The UAE has revised the validity period on COVID-19 tests for travellers returning from abroad.

In a Tweet, the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) said the test results should have a validity period not exceeding 96 hours, instead of the previously announced 72 hours.

The validity will be clocked from the date of the examination, they added.

It comes a day after the UAE made it mandatory for all travellers to carry a negative COVID-19 PCR test result.
