President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan raised the UAE flag on Tuesday at Qasr al Hosn in Abu Dhabi alongside "55 accomplished individuals from various sectors" to mark the Flag Day celebrations.

In a post on social media platform X, His Highness noted that the individuals represent the 55 years of the UAE's union. He added that the UAE’s people are its most precious asset and the source of its strength and pride.

"As we reflect on the journey begun by the late Sheikh Zayed and his fellow Rulers, we look with confidence to our people, whose ambition and determination will continue to drive the UAE’s progress and prosperity," said Sheikh Mohamed.

The occasion, held annually on November 3, highlights the values of peaceful coexistence among citizens and residents, bringing together men, women, young people, and children of different nationalities in a shared expression of love for the UAE.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also shared a message on X, stating the flag was raised for the pride of what the nation has built and achieved, "with a pledge that our flag shall remain towering .. our glory ever-renewed .. and our ambitions boundless".

"May God preserve the Emirates and its people .. and perpetuate its might and unity .. and keep its flag forever high and fluttering for all eternity," he added.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, said the celebration honours the great legacy of UAE's leadership.

"The UAE flag is a symbol of our pride and unity. Under its banner, the dreams of our Founding Fathers and the aspirations of our people came together, setting our nation on a journey of achievements that inspire pride at home and admiration around the world," he said in a post on X.

"Our flag remains a precious trust passed down through generations, upheld through dedication and service to our nation," he added.
