UAE responds to further missile, drone threats on Sunday

WAM

The UAE announced it is continuing to respond to incoming missile and drone threats from Iran, with a further alert issued by the National Emergency and Crisis Management Authority (NCEMA) on its official channel on Sunday at 3:23 p.m.

NCEMA urged the public not to approach, photograph, or touch any of the debris and fragments, and to allow the relevant authorities to assess the situation.

It also assured the public that the sounds heard were due to ongoing interceptions carried out by its air defence systems.

Earlier the Ministry of Defence (MoD) posted an alert at 7.02 a.m.

Sunday's first warning alert was sent at 12:58 a.m., with an all-clear message sent out to the community at 1:11 a.m.
