X

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has extended his sincere condolences to the family of Emirati businessman Salem Al Saman following his passing, highlighting his contribution to the nation's "economic transformation".

In a post on social media platform X, His Highness also noted the businessman's close work with UAE's Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Born in 1938 in Ras Al Khaimah, Al Saman grew up working in trade with his father. In 1961, he moved to Abu Dhabi, building his career and getting closer to the late Sheikh Zayed, with the prominent businessman later supporting the growth of the country's national economy.

Al Saman was also known for leading a group of companies, including Al Manara Jewellery, Salem Travel Agency, Salem Cargo International and Al Manara Magazine.
