UAE President mourns passing of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has mourned the death of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region.

The Presidential Court has declared seven days of official mourning, with flags flown at half-mast, starting from Wednesday, May 1.

The Presidential Court issued the following obituary:

“In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful... With hearts faithful to God's decree and destiny, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan mourns his uncle, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, who passed away today.

"May God shower the deceased with his vast mercy and dwell him in paradise, and grant Al Nahyan family patience and solace."

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, extended his condolences to the UAE President and the Al Nahyan family.

"May God have mercy on the deceased and make him dwell in his spacious gardens... and inspire us with patience and solace," Sheikh Mohammed said in a post on the platform X.
