UAE, Pakistan focus on boosting security cooperation

WAM

The UAE and Pakistan have explored ways to enhance security coordination and exchange expertise in combating drugs and transnational organised crime.

It comes after Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, held talks with Pakistan’s Interior and Counter-Narcotics Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, in Abu Dhabi.

The two sides also highlighted the role of AI and advanced technology in addressing shared security challenges.

The ministers also explored opportunities to expand regional coordination and exchange expertise, reaffirming the longstanding ties between the UAE and Pakistan.

Naqvi, who is in the UAE on an official visit, later toured the UAE Interior Ministry and was briefed on the advanced tools used to monitor police operations and enhance public safety.
