UAE nationals should be vigilant when travelling says MoFA

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has issued advisories to Emirati travellers concerning a notable increase in theft incidents involving UAE nationals in several countries.

Countries listed by the MoFA:
•    Spain
•    Georgia
•    Italy
•    United Kingdom
•    France
•    Austria

Travellers are being urged to exercise caution and vigilance by avoiding wearing valuable or rare items and documents, such as passports, should be kept in a safe and secure place.

All travel bookings like accommodation and transport should be booked through reputable global companies to mitigate the risk of scams and fraud.

Additionally, MoFA advises UAE nationals to follow specific travel guidelines provided for each destination, which are updated on MoFA’s website and app, register for the "Twajudi" service, which provides assistance during emergencies abroad and keep the emergency contact number for UAE nationals (0097180024) saved for immediate assistance.
