UAE launches online service to help residents re-enter country

WAM

Authorities in the UAE are taking further steps to help residence visa holders who are currently outside the country.

They can now register online for the ‘Tawajudi’ service introduced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

It’s aimed at ensuring the safe return of residents during emergency situations.

A similar service is already in place for Emirati nationals.

Late last week, the UAE had suspended the entry of all its valid visa holders, as part of precautionary measures against COVID-19.
