First team of Emirati youth arrive in Al Arish to assist in Gaza humanitarian mission

WAM

The first batch of the UAE's "Youth Social Missions Programme" has arrived in Egypt's Al Arish to start humanitarian work in Gaza under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.

They will be tasked with preparing relief shipments, packaging and distributing food, medical and water supplies and supporting the logistics teams. The team will also monitor the progress on UAE 'Lifeline' project that aims to deliver water to around 600,000 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and provide psychosocial support to those impacted by the conflict.

Launched by the Federal Youth Authority, the programme will focus on training Emirati youth in humanitarian and cultural missions, thereby enhancing the UAE’s global presence and training a new generation of ambassadors for humanitarian work.

Speaking to the group in Al Arish, Dr. Sultan Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, commended the members for stepping up to help those caught in the conflict.
