The UAE has rolled out the region’s first 'Finfluencer' licence for financial influencers.

It has been launched by the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) to regulate financial content creators and enhance investor protection.

The licence targets individuals who share investment advice or analysis related to regulated products or entities within the UAE through digital or traditional media, as well as public forums and seminars.

The SCA's CEO Waleed Saeed Al Awadhi called it a strategic step to reshape regulation in the digital era, saying it will help raise global standards for transparency and market integrity.

To encourage early adoption, the SCA is waiving registration, renewal and legal fees tied to the licence for the next three years.

Applicants must register with the SCA and comply with all applicable regulatory obligations, ensuring the highest standards of investor protection and reinforcing public trust in the local financial markets.
