UAE air forces have announced early on Sunday that they are responding to incoming missile and drone threats from Iran.

An alert was shared at 12:58 am, with the Ministry of Defence urging the public not to approach, photograph, or touch any of the debris and fragments, and to allow the relevant authorities to assess the situation.

It also assured the public that the sounds heard were due to ongoing interceptions carried out by its air defence systems.

A second alert was later shared at 1:11 am informing the community that the situation is safe and normal activities can continue with caution.
