UAE Flag Day bolsters allegiance to country

NULL

The UAE Flag Day has highlighted the journey of overall development and empowerment taking place in the country. That’s the message from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, following yesterday’s celebrations of the event. Sheikh Mohamed added that the occasion was another opportunity to recall the noble values on which the UAE was built, and to mark the achievements of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Citizens and residents, as well as organisations, joined the country's leaders in raising the national colours yesterday. Meanwhile, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, who raised the UAE flag at Dubai Police Academy, said the flag is a symbol of unity, and source of pride for every Emirati. Sheikh Hamdan added that the occasion was also a chance to remember the efforts of the country’s founding fathers. Elsewhere, UAE embassies and diplomatic missions around the world also joined in the celebrations. The Emirati ambassadors and staff marked the day with flag hoisting ceremonies at their respective missions.
