WAM

The UAE has continued to carry out aid air drops into Gaza, delivering essential food supplies to areas inaccessible by road.

The aid drop on Wednesday was the 70th since the UAE started the "Birds of Goodness" operation on February 29, 2024, with the total aid delivered by air exceeding 3,940 tonnes, national news agency Wam reported.

The aid drops were carried out in in cooperation with Jordan, Germany, Italy, Belgium and France, with the supplies collected with the support of UAE-based charitable institutions and entities.

It's part of the UAE's Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and reflect the country's leading role in international relief work.
