The UAE has strongly condemned the infiltration of Kuwait’s Bubiyan Island by members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to conduct hostile acts.

A member of Kuwait’s armed forces was injured in the incident.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, reaffirmed the UAE’s full solidarity with Kuwait and voiced support for all measures taken by Kuwaiti authorities to counter terrorist actions.

He also praised the vigilance and efficiency of Kuwait’s security forces in uncovering the plot.

The UAE minister reiterated the country’s firm rejection of terrorism in all forms, and called for stronger regional and international cooperation to confront such threats.

Sheikh Abdullah also emphasised that Kuwait’s security is inseparable from the security of the UAE and the wider Gulf region, stressing the UAE’s backing for all efforts aimed at protecting Kuwait’s security, sovereignty and stability.
