The United Arab Emirates expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Iranian missile attacks that targeted two military headquarters in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

At least six Kurdish Peshmerga fighters were killed and 30 wounded in a rocket attack on their base north of Erbil in Iraqi Kurdistan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) confirmed in a statement that the attacks constitute a dangerous escalation and a violation of the principles of international law, reiterating the UAE’s full solidarity with Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq.

MoFA expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families and relatives of those who passed away, to the Iraqi government and to the Kurdistan government for this attack, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
