Dubai Police’s Ramadan initiatives recorded strong community participation, with 1,220 volunteers from various nationalities and age groups contributing their time and effort throughout the holy month.

The volunteers supported the distribution of iftar meals across Dubai, including at mosques and traffic intersections just before the Maghrib call to prayer, assisting drivers and members of the public.

Collectively, they completed 4,880 volunteer hours across 27 locations in the emirate.

Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Mansoori, Director of the General Department of Community Happiness at Dubai Police, commended the volunteers, noting that they represented 15 different nationalities.

He highlighted their meaningful contribution to the success of the initiatives, which aim to reinforce the values of compassion and solidarity associated with Ramadan, while supporting those observing the fast and enhancing the communal atmosphere.

He also noted that Dubai Police introduced 11 volunteering opportunities through its official platform, allowing individuals to engage in humanitarian and community-focused initiatives during Ramadan.

Brigadier Al Mansoori added that the strong response reflects growing awareness of the importance of volunteering and its vital role in supporting sustainable development, as Dubai Police continues to embed volunteering as a core institutional value through innovative programmes and initiatives.
