UAE commends trade agreement between India, EU

Saeed Al Hajeri, Minister of State, has welcomed the historic free trade agreement reached between India and the European Union on Tuesday.

The minister commended the agreement as a reflection of the commitment of both sides to promoting free trade and economic openness.

He further highlighted how the achievement represents a model of economic partnerships that support sustainable growth and prosperity.

Noting the UAE's economic ties with India, Al Hajeri underscored the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed between both nations as an advanced form of collaboration based on enhanced economic integration and support for sustainable development pathways.

He further expressed the UAE’s interest in concluding the ongoing negotiations with the European Union, leading to the signing of a CEPA between the two sides. 

The minister reaffirmed the UAE's firm support for promoting international trade, expanding strategic economic partnerships, and deepening economic convergence at both the bilateral and international levels.
