A new consumer protection law has been approved by the UAE’s federal cabinet.
It aims to control random price hikes and tackle business practices that could have a negative impact on customers.
The legislation also takes into account the growth of e-commerce and online shopping transactions.
Once issued, the law will regulate the work of suppliers, advertisers and commercial agents as well.
