WAM

The UAE Cabinet has approved a bonus scheme for frontline medical staff working during emergency situations.

It’s in recognition of their efforts in the fight against COVID-19, and is applicable to those engaged in vital jobs linked to the Ministry of Health and Prevention.

The decision was announced during a virtual cabinet meeting, which was chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

"The UAE government team is at the forefront... working closely to serve both Emiratis and residents... we continuously improve the services, develop innovative decisions... our goal is to build a bright future for our young generations," said Sheikh Mohammed.

A new national platform for processing digital payments across different sectors was also announced during the meeting, while members also approved an integrated system for managing NGOs that serve people of determination.
