The UAE has announced 50 new cases of COVID-19.

According to The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), this brings the total number of cases to 248 in the country.

Ministry officials have also confirmed the full recovery of four patients, bringing the total number of recoveries to 45.

This also means that there are 201 active cases in the Emirates at the moment.

The new cases came from different countries which include Sri Lanka, Britain, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Tunisia, South Africa, Belgium, South Korea, Bulgaria, France, the Czech Republic, Australia, Lebanon, Kenya, the Maldives, Sudan, Iran, Ireland, Morocco, Pakistan, Sweden, two people each from Italy, Egypt, the UAE, Spain, the Netherlands, Jordan and the Philippines.

They also revealed that three people each came from the United States, Bangladesh and Palestine while six people were from India.

All cases are currently in stable condition and receiving the necessary medical attention.

The ministry of health is, once again, urging residents to stay at home to help contain the spread of the virus.

They are also reminding people suffering from respiratory problems to avoid visiting public spaces and crowded areas for the time being.
