UAE aid convoy enters Gaza with water tankers, ambulances

WAM

An Emirati aid convoy entered the Gaza Strip on Thursday, delivering critical supplies through the Rafah and Karam Abu Salem crossings.

The convoy included 22 water tankers and five ambulances, part of the UAE’s ongoing humanitarian efforts under 'Operation Chivalrous Knight 3'.

The mission aims to support Gaza’s health sector and address severe water shortages.

More aid is on the way, with over 20 additional ambulances, food supplies, medical equipment and shelter materials being prepared in the coming weeks.

Last month, the UAE also inaugurated a desalinated water pipeline from Rafah in Egypt to Al Mawasi in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, delivering two million gallons of clean water daily to nearly one million people.

So far, the UAE has provided more than 90,000 tonnes of aid to Gaza by land, sea and air, with a focus on supporting the most vulnerable communities.
