The launch of a new home learning system for public school students in the UAE will not affect their regular school schedule.

That’s according to the ministry of education, which has dismissed rumours circulating on social media that schools will be disrupted for three days due to the implementation of the programme.

The authority says the pilot project will be conducted through a smart portal for pupils in grades 5 to 12 this week.

Normal classes will run on Wednesday with students in grades 5 to 8 trying out the programme from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
