Khamzat Chimaev receives hero's welcome in Abu Dhabi

Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Chimaev at Zayed International Airport (WAM)

UFC world champion Khamzat Chimaev was accorded a special reception in Abu Dhabi after lifting the middleweight world title in Chicago. 

With this win, the 31-year-old extends his undefeated record to 15 wins.

On Sunday, Chimaev won after a dominant display against title holder Dricus du Plessis during the UFC 319.

Following a special reception, Chimaev thanked His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, for creating an environment that enables athletes to thrive on the international stage.
