Sheikh Abdullah discusses impact of Iranian attacks with global partners

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has discussed the repercussions of Iran's unprovoked attacks on regional security and stability during phone calls with foreign counterparts.

The discussions involved Kenyan President Dr. William Samoei Ruto, Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Fuad Mohammed Hussein, Angola's Foreign Affairs Minister Téte António and Afghanistan's Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi.

The calls addressed the serious impact of these attacks on the global economy and energy security.

All sides strongly condemned the unprovoked attacks, calling them a clear violation of international law and the UN Charter, and a direct threat to the sovereignty and security of states.

They reaffirmed the right of targetted countries to take necessary measures to protect their sovereignty and territorial integrity, in line with international law.

Sheikh Abdullah expressed appreciation for the solidarity shown by friendly countries towards the UAE.

The calls also underscored the importance of strengthening international cooperation to safeguard regional security and advance sustainable stability and development across the region.
