Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) has deployed a fleet of 600 motorbikes to provide delivery services for private enterprises.
The Roads and Transport Authority's (RTA) latest initiative serves commercial entities, including restaurants, retailers and delivery service companies via smart platforms and apps.
The DTC intends to expand its fleet to 990 motorbikes by the end of this year.
Mansoor Al Falasi, CEO of DTC said that its fleet is equipped with advanced safety features and tracking devices and supported by a 24|7 control centre.
"The overarching goal is to support a sustainable transportation sector in Dubai, and the city’s vision of being pioneers in providing safe, reliable, and smart transport services," he added.
